All About Me
I'm Brea - a Doctor of Acupuncture, proud boy mom, and lifelong bookworm with a deep passion for menstrual health and fertility.
My path to becoming an acupuncturist wasn't a straight line. After coming off hormonal birth control, I experienced post-pill amenorrhea and struggled with hormone imbalances that affected my menstrual cycle and fertility. Like many women, I was left searching for answers and quickly realized how often menstrual concerns are dismissed or considered "normal."
That journey led me to discover holistic nutrition and a whole new way of looking at health. I became fascinated by the body's interconnected systems and the importance of supporting overall well-being rather than simply masking symptoms. During my fertility journey, acupuncture became one of the therapies that helped me feel more connected to my body and supported through a difficult season. That experience inspired me to pursue a career in acupuncture.
Today, my goal is simple: to create a space where every person feels heard, seen, and cared for.
I have a special interest in menstrual health because I believe the menstrual cycle is one of the body's greatest sources of insight. Painful periods, missing periods, irregular cycles, and severe PMS are often overlooked, but they can tell us so much about what's happening internally.
As women, we aren't linear - we move through four distinct phases of our menstrual cycle, each with unique hormonal changes and physiological needs. I believe that understanding and supporting these phases can be an empowering part of caring for our overall health and reproductive well-being.
Whether you're navigating cycle concerns, planning for pregnancy, or simply looking to better understand your body, I'm here to offer a compassionate space where you feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout your health journey.
